Plastic Data Card Ltd has specialised equipment and software to apply a range of security features to its plastic cards and pouches. This enables us to foil signature panels and special foils, print barcodes, pin numbers, sequentially number and personalise our plastic cards and pouches where necessary on either one or both sides.

Barcodes
Plastic Data Card Ltd. is fully equipped to apply barcodes to our plastic cards in all shapes, sizes and styles. However, if you require us to match an existing barcode the exact specification must be supplied. The specification allows us to produce your chosen Barcodes, i.e Code 39, interleaved 2-of-5, the ratio i.e. 2:1, 3:1, the height and whether they need check digits. If in doubt please supply some samples of the type of barcode required so that we can match them.

Sequential Numbering
Sequential numbers have a range of applications for plastic cards and help to promote card security and reduce the likelihood of forgery. They assist in monitoring card use and issue within a range of applications. Alternatively, they can be used as a pin number or access code for a website or other security system. The numbers can start at any point created by you and with any number of digits. They can be random, sequential or specific based on your requirements.

There are different forms of personalisation, whether it is names, numbers, codes or dates. We can even personalise cards with photographs. The variable data security features allow any number of cards to display the same, a range or completely different information. This is ideal for membership cards; discount cards, ID cards and so on….
The personalisation process begins with the creation of a database. We ask our customers to supply the database information on either MAC or PC using Excel, or any programmes that can create comma, quote or tab separated files. The provision of PIN numbers has the same requirements. We can also offer you a Bureau Service, which allows annual marketing and membership schemes to deal with continually changing customers.

Nowadays plastic cards are used for a multitude of purposes. The varying applications warrant adaptability and Signature Panels are the perfect solution for personalising plastic cards with the individual’s details at the point of issue. The card issuer can simply hand write the cardholder privileges, access codes and authorised signatures granting their customer instant access, membership and identification to their club or scheme.
Our standard signature strip size is 69.5 × 10mm, but single or multiple panels can be placed anywhere on the plastic card providing it is at least 3mm from the edge. Text must be at least 2mm away from the signature panel. We can create a custom built tool to apply your own design of signature strips but this will incur an additional cost.
